Cologne has been an important city for over 2000 years. After flourishing in Roman times, the city grew to become one of the most influential cities in North-west Europe. The Gothic Cologne Cathedral towers some 150 metres above the city. The breath-taking view from the top is most certainly worth the climbing of the 509 steps. Beside the architectural legacy, Cologne is also a city that is proud of its cultural heritage and identity.

Take a look at the modern art in the Ludwig museum for example, or the Chocolate museum and the oldest perfumery in the world. Stroll through the typically German town of Altstadt. During the tour of the Sünner Keller brewery, you’ll find out how the ultimate Cologne specialty, the Kölsch, is brewed. Get some fresh air on the boat trip on good old Father Rhine.
