Bodium Castle

Bodiam Castle is fairy tale like; a square with battlements on every round corner, a moat with fish and a dungeon. The castle was built in 1385 to protect England against invasions from France. Climb the spiral staircases of the corner towers to walk along the battlements. Discover the rooms that once served as a reception hall, kitchen or chapel. Artisans bake bread the old-fashioned way, and the miller's wife or the forester tells you about the castle. Every year in August a large medieval spectacle takes place with cannon shooting and hand, crossbow and catapult shooting for students. Curious? Ask your travel specialist for the options that are available.
